Between Cayucos Point and Cayucos Creek, a shallow reef extends a long distance offshore. At low tide much of the reef is exposed, revealing a vast network of tide pools. Several sheltered landing spots offer easy access to the tide pools. Offshore, harbor seals and sea otter are commonly seen.
